Baggii and Saraa have been offering horse treks for over 20 years and have ridden this area their whole life! Together with a team of local guides and under the supervision of an experienced international vet, they have been home to the international Equestrian Club of Outer Mongolia for the past year and a half and have not only been taking expatriate club members riding every week but have also guided expatriates and tourists through some of the most beautiful, and some of the toughest terrain around. Baagii has the experience and the temperament to cope with whatever unexpected events happen to pop up (and they always do!) and Saraa has been sharing the joy of the simplicity of the traditional nomadic lifestyle for decades.
Safety is our first concern and, as such, all trekkers are provided with a helmet, break away stirrups, half chaps and matched with a mount whose temperment matches their ability. We also carry a satellite phone with us into the wilderness for use in case of an emergency and, whenever possible, a car within easy riding distance. Mongolian horses are quite forward moving and energetic, so for novice riders a guide will happily lead you while master the skills necessary to go off lead. Please note that there is a weight limit of 100 kgs. for our adventure rides.
Each long ride has a native English or (German on demand) speaker along as an interpreter and cultural liason as well so you can rest assured that the language barrier will not be a problem and you can get the most out of your Mongolian experience.
The people, the experience, the local knowledge, and some of the best cared for horses in the country!
